Welcome to Haydays!

Here at Haydays, privacy and online safety are important to us. We offer a new advertising platform that’s brings local events to you. We collect data about Advertisers and Customers (“Data”) when they use the platform, the services and our website (Collectively, “Services”). This privacy policy describes how we collect, use and disclose Data. We take the privacy of your Personal Data seriously. Because of that, we have created this Privacy Policy. Please read this Privacy Policy as it includes important information regarding your Personal Data and other information.

1. Overview

The Data we collect depends on how our Services are used. Sometimes we receive Data directly, such as when a Haydays account is created, Event Adverts are submitted through our website or we receive an email. Other times, we get Data by recording interactions with our Services by, for example, using technologies like cookies. We also get Data from third parties, like our financial partners or identity verification services. The collection and use of data from a variety of sources is essential to our ability to provide our Services and to help ensure that the Events advertised are genuine.

2. Data We Collect

When you use or interact with us through the Services, we may collect Data, as further described below:

a. All Users

Information you provide to us: For all Users we collect Personal Data when you voluntarily provide such information to the Services, such as when you register for access to the Services, contact us with inquiries, respond to one of our surveys or browse or use certain parts of the Services. The Personal Data we may collect includes without limitation your name, address, email address and other information that enables Users to be personally identified.

Information we automatically collect: We also automatically collect certain technical data that is sent to us from the computer, mobile device and/or browser through which you access the Services (“Automatic Data”). Automatic Data, includes without limitation, a unique identifier associated with your access device and/or browser (including, for example, your Internet Protocol (IP) address) characteristics about your access device and/or browser, statistics on your activities on the Services, information about how you came to the Services and data collected through Cookies, Pixel Tags, Local Shared Objects, Web Storage and other similar technologies.

When you register for the Services or otherwise submit Personal Data to us, we may associate other Non-Personal Data (including Non-Personal Data we collect from third parties) with your Personal Data. At such instance, we will treat any such combined data as Personal Data until such time as it can no longer be associated with you or used to identify you.

b. Organisers

As an organiser we may collect additional Personal Data from you, such as address, contact details and email addresses.

We do not contain any financial data from you, however, Haydays use Strip as the payment software platform. For information regarding the Data collected when purchasing Event Ads, please visit www.stripe.com/gb/privacy.

c. Registered Accounts

As a Registered Account, we will collect additional Data from you to allow Haydays to provide the best service possible. This will allow Haydays to save Liked Events, Link to Social Media Accounts, Share Events and register interest without re-entering details.

Information you provide to us:

  • Contact Details
  • Social Media User Name
  • Browser and device data
  • Cookie and tracking technology data

Information we obtain from other sources: We may also collect or receive Personal Data from third party sources, such as Organisers, other Attendees, social media or other third party integrations.

3. How We Use Data

We collect and use the Personal Data we collect in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. We may use the Personal Data as follows:

a. Specific Reason

If you provide Personal Data for a certain purpose, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the purpose for which it was provided. For instance, if you contact us by e-mail, we will use the Personal Data you provide to answer your question or resolve your problem and will respond to the email address from which the contact came.

b. Internal Business Purposes

We may use your Personal Data for internal business purposes, including without limitation, to help us improve the content and functionality of the Services, to better understand our Users, to improve the Services, to protect against, identify or address wrongdoing, to enforce our Terms of Service, to manage your account and provide you with customer service, and to generally manage the Services and our business.

c. Marketing

Where it is in accordance with your marketing preferences, we may use your Personal Data to contact you in the future for our marketing and advertising purposes, including without limitation, to inform you about services or events we believe might be of interest to you, to develop promotional or marketing materials and provide those materials to you, and to display content and advertising on or off the Services that we believe might be of interest to you. In particular, Organisers should note that we may use information we receive or collect regarding Attendees (including without limitation via an Organiser’s event registration page) in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy, including in the manner set forth above.

d. Organiser Emails

We allow Organisers to use our email tools to contact Attendees for their current and past events, so you may receive emails from our system that originate with such Organisers. If you have registered for an event on the Services, your email is available to that Organiser. However, Organisers may also import the emails they have from external sources and send communications through the Services to those emails and we will deliver those communications to those emails. See “Opt Out from Electronic Communications” below on how to opt out of these communications.

e. Other Purposes

If we intend to use any Personal Data in any manner that is not consistent with this Privacy Policy, you will be informed of such anticipated use prior to or at the time the Personal Data is collected or we will obtain your consent subsequent to such collection but prior to such use.

4. How We Disclose Data

Stripe does not sell or rent Personal Data to marketers or unaffiliated third parties. We share Your Personal Data with trusted third parties, including:

a.To Haydays Affiliates

We share Data with entities that we control, are controlled by us, or are under our common control, to provide our Services. Haydays is the party responsible for overall management and use of the Data by these affiliated parties.

b. To Haydays Service Providers.

We share Data with service providers who help us provide the Services. Service providers help us with things like website hosting, data analysis, information technology and related infrastructure, customer service, email delivery and auditing;

c. To Authorized Third Parties.

We share data with parties directly authorized by a User to receive Data, such as when a User authorizes a third party application provider to access the User’s Haydays account. The use of Data by an authorized third party is subject to the third party’s privacy policy;

d. To Third Parties.

We will share Data with third parties in the event of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings); and

e. Safety, Legal Purposes and Law Enforcement.

We use and disclose Data as we believe necessary: (i) under applicable law, or payment method rules; (ii) to enforce our terms and conditions; (iii) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, and/or that of our affiliates, You or others; and (iv) to respond to requests from courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, and other public and government authorities, which may include authorities outside your country of residence.

5. Security

Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of your account has been compromised), please contact us immediately.

6. Advertising

We may use third-party advertising companies to serve advertisements regarding goods and services that may be of interest to you when you access our websites, based on Data relating to your access to and use of our websites on any of your devices, as well as Data received from third parties. To do so, these companies may place or recognize a unique cookie, or similar tracking technology, on your browser (including the use of pixel tags). They may also use these technologies, along with data they collect about your online use, to recognize you across the devices you use, such as a mobile phone and a laptop, and to make decisions about the advertisements you see. You may download the AppChoices app to opt out in mobile apps. In order to understand and improve the effectiveness of our advertising, we may also use web beacons, cookies, and other technologies to identify the fact that you have visited our website or seen one of our advertisements, and we may provide that Data to one or more third party advertising networks. The Data we provide may include the time and date of your visit to our website, pages viewed, links clicked and other information that does not disclose your ‘real world’ identity. Those advertising networks may recognize the web beacon or cookie associated with your visit to our website when you visit other websites on which they serve advertising, and they may make decisions about the advertisements you see based on it. At present, there is no industry standard for recognizing Do Not Track browser signals, so we do not respond to them.

7. How You Can Access, Update, Correct or Delete your Personal Data.

You have choices regarding our use and disclosure of Your Personal Data:

a.Opting out of receiving electronic communications from us. If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us on a going-forward basis, you may opt-out via the unsubscribe link included in such emails. We will try to comply with your request(s) as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt-out of receiving marketing-related emails from us, we may still send you important administrative messages that are required to provide you with our Services.

b.How you can access or change Your Personal Data.If you would like to review, correct, or update Personal Data that you have previously disclosed to us, you may do so by signing in to Your Haydays account or by contacting us.
If emailing us your request, please make clear in the email what Personal Data You would like to have changed. For Your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Data associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

8. Retention Period

We may retain your Personal Data as long as you are registered to use the Services. You may close your account by contacting us. However, we may retain Personal Data for an additional period as is permitted or required under applicable laws. Even if we delete your Personal Data it may persist on backup or archival media for an additional period of time for legal, tax or regulatory reasons or for legitimate and lawful business purposes.

9. Use of Services by Minors

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of thirteen (13). If you are under the age of thirteen (13), please do not submit any Personal Data through the Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Data through the Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to us through the Services, please email us and we will endeavour to delete that information from our databases.

10. Updates to This Privacy Policy

With the possibility of adaptions to the service we at provide here at Haydays, it is likely that it is necessary for us to make changes to the Privacy Policy. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted to the Site with a change to the “Updated” date at the top of the page. In certain circumstances Haydays may, but need not, provide you with additional notice of such changes, such as via email. Changes will be effective thirty (30) days following the "Updated” date or such other date as communicated in any other notice to you.

Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. This Privacy Policy was updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Services following the effectiveness of any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance of those modifications. If any modification to this Privacy Policy is not acceptable to you, you should cease accessing, browsing and otherwise using the Services.
